BRIAN

Brian Hogan is the front man for Jagged Star. He is also the lead vocalist and main lyricist for the band. He covers rhythm guitar and on occasion takes over lead guitar. Brian was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He was brought up on the music from the 60's,70's,80's, and 90's. His biggest influences include The Beatles, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Everlast and the latest 3 Doors Down. In 1996 Brian moved to New Jersey and a few yrs later got his first guitar. He immediately started to learn how to play and started writting songs. He then met guitarist Kevin Aurilio and soon they became friends and started "jamming" togther. Then Brian met bassist Blase and pretty much the rest is history!

KEVIN

Kevin Aurilio is our lead guitarist. Never one to play out of key, he is also our music theory expert. He plays a Fender strat, Jackson Flying V, and Fender electric/acoustic into a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone and Dunlop Crybaby into a Marshall amp. He also is too lazy to write his own bio.

BLASE

Blase Ur holds down the low end with the Bass. He has played Bass for over 2 years, and guitar for 3 1/2 years. He has a tendency of picking up the guitar whenever no one else is using it, and writes most of his songs on guitar. However, he is more than content with taking his place as the bassist during shows. He has lived in Edison his entire life, and is a sophomore at J.P. Stevens High School. His musical influences include Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Local H, Miles Davis, Pavement, Mudhoney, Yo La Tengo, Pennywise, Poison Idea, Melvins, Flaming Lips, and Cat Power. He currently plays a gray Ibanez SR 800 bass into a 200w Hartke combo (15" speaker). He also has a small collection of pedals for those times on guitar including the Boss DS-1 distortion, Boss MT-2 metal zone, Boss Ch-1 chorus, Snarling Dogs Mold Spore Wah/Ring Modulator, and Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress flanger.
